In the wings
The facilities at the Porte Sud de Genève Convention Centre belong to the Syndicat Mixte d'Aménagement du Genevois (S.M.A.G), a public agency responsible for developments in the Archamps Science & Technology Park that plays host to the Convention Centre.
The Centre opened in 2003 with the aim of turning the MICE industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Events) into a new sector of economic development within the French part of the Geneva area.
It was a completely new venture but, today, an average of 400 events are held at the Porte Sud de Genève Convention Centre every year, with 14,000 people staying for an average of 1.8 days.
While clients tend to be very local (55% from Haute-Savoie, 22% from Switzerland), delegates or participants come from all over the world, bringing an international dimension to the Centre that reflects the cosmopolitan nature of the Greater Geneva area.
The Convention Centre is marketed, operated and managed by the Gestion & Services company whose staff is ready to assist you before, during and after your event.
We should be delighted to add your name to our client base!
